The Science Career Ladder is a unique program offered by NYSCI. It gives young people the opportunity to work as Science Explainers. Explainers teach science to the museums visitors.
Inspired by the program, many Explainers move on to careers in Science, Technology, Math, Engineering, or Education.
This is the story of an Explainer who came to the United States at the age of 15. She knew very little English. She also had no idea that the New York Hall of Science would change her life.
Maria was inspired by science.
